WARRIOR CONTEST RULES
Eligibility: All writers are welcome to submit. Entrants may be published or unpublished.
Categories: Entrants may enter one or more manuscripts in the following categories: contemporary, historical, paranormal,inspirational, erotica and young adult.
Submission: Electronic submissions only. Each entry must contain:
1) Confirmation of Paypal payment.
2) A cover page with title of entry, category, projected word length of finished manuscript, author’s name, postal address, email address, and phone number.
3) Your best fifteen pages of an unpublished romance novel in proper manuscript form: double spaced, left justification, one inch margins, in Courier New 12 pt. font OR Times New Roman 14 pt font, saved in RTF. Category entered, Title of entry and page number must appear in the header of each page. Author’s name must not appear in the header.Submissions formatted differently from stated guidelines will be returned to the author for corrections.
4) A short synopsis (not to exceed two pages) in the same format as stated above. This synopsis WILL be judged.
Entry fee: The entry fee is $75 per submission. Paypal your entry fee to: warrior.contest.fund@gmail.com.
Deadline: Entries must be received by contest co-coordinators at warrior.contest.fund@gmail.com no later than midnight CST, August 31, 2011. Finalists will be contacted by the end of September, and will be allowed time to incorporate preliminary judges’ comments before submitting to editors for final round ranking. Winners will be announced by December 1, 2011!
NOTE: We ask that any questions you may have regarding the contest be sent to the email above, only.
Judges: The preliminary round will be judged by three published authors. A minimum of 10% of all entries will move on to the finalists’ round. Finalists’ entries will be judged by top-line editors and agents. See the list below for those who’ve already signed on to judge—more will be added!

Awards: The reward for entering this contest is the chance for feedback from successful authors, and the chance to final in a contest that will get your work in front of major agents and editors.The names of those who don’t final will be placed in a drawing to receive an in-depth, “menage” of a critique, of their first thirty pages, from authors Kimberly Kaye Terry, Delilah Devlin, and Vivi Anna. All winners’ names, including the winner of the menage critique, will also be published in the RT Book Reviews magazine.
